Literature Text

It was beating in this heart,
But no one saw its one desire.
No one cared to know its only dream,
Or touch its soul.
But twisted in the suns rays,
The moon reflecting in its hope.

Scattered dreams are now what lay ahead.
Of lost hope and troubled souls.
A simple pure desire gone to gray,
Broken to pieces, which now lay in ruin.
If only anyone cared,
If only anyone asked,
Maybe then this heart wouldn't be bleeding.

As the pain takes over,
So does the anger and rage.
The neglect so clear and seen,
Oh by what means could it be fixed?
Could have it all been stopped?
At a fork in the road now twisted and torn,
What way must this wounded soul turn?

And like a star from Heaven,
I see him clear in front of me.
His golden wings stretched out wide,
His handsome face shining in the darkness.
His pools of blue glistening with hope,
He takes my hand and caresses my cheek.
"Do not throw it all away,
Do not toss this dream aside.
Or step on the crooked path.
You are loved.
You are cherished more than a beautiful rose.
Spring back to life, and let them see you glow.
Let them see the beauty that lives in this heart of yours."
His words are like honey,
This living water is what fills my soul.

My heart comes alive again,
My dreams blossoming.
Ready to bloom at last.
Even if no one else encourages them,
I will step forward towards them.
Towards seeing them come to pass,
For the light inside burns again,
Thanks to the words of that encouraging Angel.

'It just takes one to see,
One to listen and believe,
That your dreams can fly,
Up to that Glorious sky.'
