I’d love to see You but it’s been so long….’
There’s a fire playing in my bedroom,
clashing with the shadows on the wall.
I feel the flask of desire, rolling,
in the deepness of my flesh.
I give my gift away, in hopes
of finally eliminating my emptiness.
‘I need to hear You
is that so wrong?’
I find myself forgetting
where I once belonged,
while lost in the wilderness.
I ran from You as fast as-
a lightning bolt strikes.
How can You accept me back
after all I have done?
‘I hear You say
My love is over
it’s underneath
it’s inside,
it’s in between.’
I cry out within the pain,
like a stricken child
finally caving in.
I have had enough,
I need Your love,
to find the place,
where You embrace.
‘Now You pull me near You,
when we’re close I fear You,
I’m so tired of defending what I’ve become…’
You take me in and bare my sins.
You take the cloth of mercy,
dipped in the living water
of forgiveness and grace
and wash them over the dirt and grim.
You cleanse me from the scars and pain.
And as You wash my sins away,
You sing softly a lullaby.

the weight of your shame.

I’m there in the storm,

I put my MP3 on shuffle (which it always is on) and decided to write todays piece about the first song it lands on. Which it landed on Tenth Avenue North's 'Times', The first and (still) favorite song from TAN that I heard before falling in love with this band some years back, and they haven't disappointed yet with any of their songs I've heard. 
It's been awhile since I've posted a good Spiritual piece, I need to write more of these.
