Hello, My Younger Self Hello, My Younger Self: Written by Jamie Gandy: November 28, 2022 I step from the shadows creeping from the forest behind you as the giant golden sun begins to dip into the horizon. I lean against a tree and cross one ankle over the other and fold my arms over my chest. I watch you stare out at the lake stretched out in front of you and your young blonde speckled canine. For a moment I look down at my own canine partner, who looks identical to yours, only much older. “I feel you watching me, why not just come on out and stop being such a creeper lingering over there in the shadows,” you call out to me. I smile at your audacious challenge. Smirking I push off the trunk of the tree and slowly stalk up behind you. My foot falls as quiet as a mouse, as light as a feather. I tug my cloak over my face just a little as I approach you. “Foolish of you to invite over your lurker,” I remark smoothly. My dog halts at my side as yours turns to face us. “Maybe, but it is more intimidating
